When I lived in Switzerland, Prisca and I would sit on her porch and contemplate trees, pointing out our favorite ones. There is something that has always drawn me towards trees. Something about their shape, their being. Trees, dead or alive, are a point of constant beauty for me. Recently, I compiled all my tree photos into a Flickr set, which at this point in time comprises exactly 10% of all my photos. No surprise, hey? These are a few of my favorites.

I love trees too. And these are beautiful pictures.
I just took the dog for a walk and was noticing how much the trees have changed over the past few days. Last week they were just barely blooming and now some of them have flowers of bright colors and you can smell them from far away.
I think I admire the trees because they are ever changing, but still constant. They are strong and huge and seemingly everlasting. But they are constantly changing, evolving, growing...I'm not sure that many things in life have those same qualities put together.
Great pictures! I recognize some of those trees!
You do capture trees beautifully.
i so love all your tree photos.
