Source material for a collaging project I'm working on right now.
View on black for most dramatic effect.

This speaks to this particular season of life I find myself in, holding things very loosely.
Ready to receive and ready to let go.
Whatever is given is good and whatever is lost needed to be laid aside.
Surprise and provision will come at the right time.

Until then,
I wait gratefully
with open hands.

I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
and in his word I hope;
my soul waits for the Lord
more than watchmen for the morning,
more than watchmen for the morning.
— Ps. 130:5-6

Are those your hands? If so, you have beautiful thumbs.

They are! Ha ha! I don't think I've ever had my thumbs complimented before! Thanks, Em. :)

Oh yeah, I saw the link the other day, but then we were running late, so I couldn't check it out.

This post - photo and words - says it perfectly.

PS I didn't mean to imply earlier that I comment things I don't mean. I may say something brief, but it's always from my heart.

Hello friend, I love this photo and you always have a way with words. I have been through that season and it continues in some form or fashion even now. The photo captures it beautifully! Excellent work as usual. Love ya! Keep those hands open!
